General Dispensation from the Sunday Obligation to Attend Mass Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases throughout our Diocese, Bishop James Powers has granted “the Catholic faithful throughout the Diocese of Superior a general dispensation from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass. This dispensation will remain in force until further notice.” Please be aware that Bishop Powers is NOT issuing a closure of public Masses on Sundays and weekdays.
